(More customer reviews)I purchased this whimsical old man bird house because I thought it looked like my husband! LOL! I am a bird house lover and this was so unique I had to have it. We have it up on a telephone pole in our back yard. It's been up for a couple of years now. On the upside, it's the most unusual birdhouse I have and the commentary on it is constant. On the downside, I have never seen a single bird go inside the nose. I would LOVE to see this and if it ever happened, a photo of that moment would be worth a thousand words.
Maybe it's because there is no perch for the birds to sit on under the opening in the nose; apparently it's difficult to fly up and into the nose. Not that I myself would ever want to fly up and into someone's nose so maybe that's the same reason no birds ever go inside this bird house!
It's a novelty for sure! I don't regret the purchase because it's a fun addition to my birdhouse world! I also purchased another 'old man' birdhouse to compliment this one and they are pretty cute one above the other on our telephone pole. Here is the other version which is softer and just as unique:

The quality is excellent! This birdhouse should stand the test of weather and time for years and years, unlike a lot of other birdhouses out there. There is nothing flimsy about this, the construction is well done. I'd give it 5 stars if the birds actually used it; the design and uniqueness of it are exceptional!
