(More customer reviews)I've heard about this product from several print and media sources and all were positive. However, everywhere, including this site, indicated that it would work for all feeders, including hanging. What they don't tell u is that it doesn't work for a shepherd's hook type hanging since the halo is over 30" in diameter and I've not been able to find any hook or arm extension from the pole that extends any where near that. So unless u can hang your feeder from a tree or a hanger that extends over 30" from the house, this product will not work.
I have no trees near the house and have a vinyl sided house, so unable to place a hanger on it. I contacted the company and they had no suggestions. They should be clearer in the description that you need over 30" of clearance between the hanging feeder and any vertical surface.
I did not give it 3 or less stars as I wasn't able to access it's efficacy.
