HANGING PLATFORM FEEDER QT 4 - Quart - Hunter Green Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this platform feeder early last year, 2009, after reading that some birds will come to a platform more readily than just a regular house type seed feeder. I researched platforms thru Google, etc., and I liked the features of this one, and the price. It is plastic with a mesh seed support, which makes it long lasting and easy to clean.
I started putting sunflower seed on it, and within a couple of days, we had Goldfinches in their winter attire on it, probably twenty, plus. We had them again this year, but they have just left for Yankee land I guess. But we did see, this past week, last of March, a couple of what I believe to be House Finches. Beautiful birds, very similar to Purple Finches. The Birds of GA book by Stan Tekiela has good photos of both, and he says the House Finch is a GA year round resident. In any event, we are now getting a greater variety of birds, including male and female Red Bellied Woodpeckers.
But I digress, we are seeing many more birds since I installed the platform, and they are easier to identify due to the open nature of a platform. I enjoy photographing them with a Canon 7D with Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS lens. We use Nikon 7238 8X40 binocular, which I got from Amazon 3 weeks ago. See my review, excellent product.
If you don't have a platform feeder, and you enjoy home bird watching, you owe it to yourself to get one of these. Highly recommended.

Unique Arts Copper coated aluminum birdbath-green Review

(More customer reviews)Check the dimensions, people. This is the world's smallest bird bath. It would be completely dwarfed by my garden. It will now hold Starburts and Airheads in my family room. It's very stylish with a lovely coppery patina. But it's a tabletop item, not a garden item. I'm keeping it because I needed a cool candy dish, but now I have to start hunting again for a funky birdbath.

Duncraft 169 Squirrel Proof Pavillion Platform Feeder Review

(More customer reviews)I have owned this feeder for about six months. It hangs great and the squirrels seem to leave it alone. My only problem are the posts which keep the top up, broke fairly soon after hanging the feeder and we had to super glue it back together.

Gardman USA INC Bao1305 Compact Ground Feeder Tray Review

(More customer reviews)Nice little feeder if that's the size you want. This tray is very small, just under 7 inches square. It is a very well made, sturdy, attractive tray. However I did not notice that there were no dimentions listed - I mistakenly looked at the dimentions for a similar item shown on that same page that was 16x13 (sadly, an easy mistake to make here if you're in a hurry) and thought that was the size I was getting. A great disappointment. I kept it because it wasn't worth shipping it back. And it is a nice little tray for putting out eggshells or special tidbits. But I would never have bought it had I known its small size. My own fault for not reading more carefully, but I'm disappointed in a seller who does not disclose the dimentions of his product.

Ground Bird Feeder Tray, 16" x 13" Brown Review

(More customer reviews)I like having bird seed on the ground, but not "ON" the ground. The legs raise up the food so it never rots and ferments, like other feeders. The doves that visit my yard especially love it since they feed on the ground and don't fly up to the hanging feeders.
