Oakland Living® Crane and Lily Birdbath Review

Oakland LivingĀ® Crane and Lily Birdbath

This is beautiful--much sturdier than anticipated. The only thing I didn't like about it was that the bolts that hold it together stick out and aren't the bronze color that the rest of it is. Bottom line is..it is better than I thought it would be.

Cast Iron Birdbath Adorned with Hummingbird Review

Cast Iron Birdbath Adorned with Hummingbird
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this for my Mother for her birthday. She has not even had it 3 weeks & it has completely rusted out.
Per the seller and I quote "Customers do not complain about the rust because they understand that iron will rust outside. If you wanted a birdbath that wouldn't rust you should have purchased a plastic or resin one".
The seller was accomodating in giving me a price adjustment due to my Mother being unhappy and was very prompt in his responses.

Midas-Lin Co Ltd-Import Dragontabletop Birdbath C325-62 Bird Bath Review

Midas-Lin Co Ltd-Import Dragontabletop Birdbath C325-62 Bird Bath
Average Reviews:

1st off, the dragon fly is backwards from the picture. When I opened the box and set it up, I immedialtely thought the tail should face outwards like it shows. Instead it faces inside the bowl....opposite of the picture. Also, DON'T beleive it when they say it's 10-1/2" diameter. It comes in a 9" square box. In reality, it's about 8-1/2" diameter. They probably measure the diameter to include the dragonflys tail.. anyway it's stupid small.
wish I got a different birdbath.
Lied to in Woodland.

Hanging Birdbath / Water Feeder - "Copper Spiral" Review

Hanging Birdbath / Water Feeder - Copper Spiral
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this to hang on a high shepherd's crook over my wingspan copper birdbath. My hope was to have some dripping action from the hanging bath into the lower pan. I have no electricity in this area of the garden and don't like the gadget-y battery or solar water movers; I don't want to set up a faucet-driven dripper either - it seems wasteful and too far from the house to attempt it, or something could go wrong and saturate the area...
This product is very sturdy and great quality. There are no "shortcuts," not even in the hanging hardware. However, you can tell this is "hand made" in that it isn't perfectly symmetrical. Fine with me, but I thought I should mention it.
This has a long, attached copper hook.
Birds seem to prefer the drinker for imbibing because the water stays clean. Goldfinches in particular use the drinker; they usually passed by the bird baths, which are quickly dirtied by flocks of bathers. (No bird could bathe in this due to its construction, it's good for drinking only).
The item is beautiful to look at and its subtle movement with the occasional sound of water drizzling into the copper pan is a lovely touch.
The great thing with copper is that it can be left out year 'round. As soon as the sun hits it, even in the coldest winter weather, any ice or snow melts down enough to provide a drink for wintering birds.

Gardman BA01282 Lily Bird Bath Antique Copper Review

Gardman BA01282 Lily Bird Bath Antique Copper
Average Reviews:

The reviewers who are complaining that this birdbath is plastic must not have read the product description. It's very clear that it's made of plastic resin, which is a plus for me. It assembled easily in about a minute, all the parts fit together well, it's lightweight and easy to move and clean, and the birds love it. The ground stakes hold it firmly, and it's very attractive. Great product.

API 645 Bird Bath Bowl with Tilt-to-Clean Deck Rail Mounting Bracket Review

API 645 Bird Bath Bowl with Tilt-to-Clean Deck Rail Mounting Bracket
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this birdbath after having trouble finding a free-standing one that had a large enough capacity to not quickly evaporate dry in the Mid-Atlantic coast's summer while being tall enough to be seen from our back windows. This seemed to fit the bill with its deep bowl and was very easy to install (screwdriver required, no other tools). It's just as easy to empty as advertised, also.
On the negative side, since it mounts on a deck railing, it might be higher than your local birds are used to looking for water. It took several weeks for our birds to discover and start using it.
Highly recommended if you don't have a convenient spot to put a typical pedestal-mounted birdbath or need the convenience of being able to easily dump out a birdbath.

Un-heated Bird Bath with Tilt-to-Clean Deck Mount. The bowl is 20" x 2" deep. The shape of the rim is designed to be easily grasped by a bird's talons making it a natural perch and, as a result, encourages landings. Includes a mounting bracket that firmly attaches to deck rails. The bath can be tilted for cleaning without removing it from the rail.

Avant Garden 8160-3 Hanging-Standing Birdbath Review

Avant Garden 8160-3 Hanging-Standing Birdbath
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Avant Garden Standing/Hanging Birdbath
I bought this because I thought it would work well as a hanging birdbath. So far, the birds have stayed away from it. The chains do NOT link into the base, so they flop around every time you try to fill it with water, and the basin ends up falling on the ground. In general, it looks cool in the picture, but is not practical in the hanging application. The ground application seems too flimsy to hold up to much stress of other animals such as squirrels, that inevitably will come to try it out.

First Nature's Niche Waterer and Bird Bath Review

First Nature's Niche Waterer and Bird Bath
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This thing is a dream. I have a 4 hanger feeding station in my back yard that includes a suet feeder, squirrel-be-gone hopper feeder, a glass ball hummingbird feeder, and this unit. The watering areas are small enough that birds can't sit in it and make it a mess. Fresh water trickles down to the watering stations as needed. Once a week I toss it and the other feeders in the dishwasher with a cup of vinager on "quick rinse", towel dry and hang back up. I will never go back to the slimey pedistal models again. I think this is a far healthier and convenient way to water my feathered friends.
