You can see in the photos that the bases have screw holes in them (irrelevant to the product) and are too long, extending beyond the base of the fastener. They seem like random hangers from the hardware store. This unit was included in the Ultimate Deck System we purchased and we actually left it off because it looks shoddy.

(More customer reviews)I RECEIVED THIS "96 INCH POLE" AND IT WAS ONLY 36" LONG. I SPENT AN HOUR TRYING TO GET THROUGH TO "UNBEATABLE SALES" TO FIND OUT IF I HAD RECEIVED THE WRONG PRODUCT OR IF THE INFO ON AMAZON WAS WRONG. AFTER SITTING ON HOLD FOR TEN MINUTES, I FINALLY GOT SOMEONE THAT REALLY COULDN'T TELL ME ANYTHING SO I DECIDED TO RETURN THE ITEM FOR A REFUND. THE RETURN PROCESS IS A REAL HASSLE, AND OF COURSE I NOW HAVE TO TAKE IT TO THE POSTAL CENTER. NOTHING BUT A WASTE OF TIME DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY.
Now, almost one month later, after returning the item for credit using their return number assigned to me, I still have not received a credit. I called today 11-12, and was told that Amazon had to apply the credit. However, the info had to come from Unbeatable Sales for Amazon to give me credit. I have called Amazon and the credit is being issued today. To add insult to injury, this company will not refund my shipping cost of $12.26, even though they messed up the order. I was told that if I rescinded this bad review, they WOULD refund shipping. Buyer Beware!!

Two of the vertical roof pieces were splintered because the top wasn't cut right to fit. You fill through the top (lift off with the ball; the opening isn't large enough, so seed will spill everywhere. It will not hang straight, no matter what we tried.

If I nail these, the squirels will get the peanuts but I'm working on a way of adapting these because what I had a long time ago appears to no longer exist.

Very strong... looks like it was built to last a lifetime... I am very happy... I have ordered 2 and I am ordering 4 more... :) Perfect for a 2 inch rail... needs about 12 inches of railing for the mounting and bottom half... the top half sticks out about 13 inches... :)

Seed Saucer Green - Bird Seed Catcher Review

(More customer reviews)The saucer with the removable grid in place does an excellent job keeping seeds and husks from spilling onto the ground. The product would rate five stars if it weren't for one dangerous design flaw: the holes in the removable grid are just large enough for a sparrow-sized bird to work its head through to reach seed that has collected in the bowl below, but not large enough for the bird to pull its head back through. The grid is made of a very stiff, hard plastic which, perhaps were less rigid, would allow birds to work their heads free on their own should they become stuck. After freeing several sparrows and goldfinches whose heads had become stuck in a grid hole, I finally removed the grid and am using the saucer without it. There is some seed spillage without the grid, but nowhere near the amount that was spilling before I purchased the saucer. I can recommend this product only if it is used without the grid, and without the grid in place you will experience more seed spillage than the product was designed to prevent.

(More customer reviews)The worst side effect from spilling birdseed all over my patio every time I filled the feeder wasn't all the sweeping and scraping to recapture all the spilled seed but rather all the weeds that would spring up in the plant areas around my patio a few weeks later. This funnel-scoop has probably paid for itself already considering how much it has reduced waste, not to mention time and frustration. I discovered this online by accident when buying a new bird feeder a few weeks ago, and I am very glad I decided to buy it too!
Operation: close the opening to the funnel by sliding a lever on the side, fill the scoop, insert the funnel into the seed repository of the bird feeder, and turn the lever in the other direction to release the seed.

I saw it struggle to free itself for at least ten minutes. Its hand was still stuck in the feeder after it got away. Please do not purchase this type of feeder.

We have it just outside a large picture window and hang our hummingbird feeders on the top level and sunflower heart feeders on the lower rungs. Birds love to perch on the gracefully arched rungs even when not feeding. We have so many beautiful birds now at close range that a good camera is the next thing on our list. I have never seen a feeder station quite this well designed.
