spikes unglue quite easily
so you wind up unscrewing corn
and spikes together
then have to keep glueing on
not well designed.

Triple Pole Hook, Black Review

Triple Pole Hook, Black
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The hangers for this unit do not appear designed to work with the fastener. You can see in the photos that the bases have screw holes in them (irrelevant to the product) and are too long, extending beyond the base of the fastener. They seem like random hangers from the hardware store. This unit was included in the Ultimate Deck System we purchased and we actually left it off because it looks shoddy.

Droll Yankees Jagunda Feeder Review

Droll Yankees Jagunda Feeder
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I was hesitant to spend so much money on a bird feeder, but I was losing the battle against the squirrels (no offense... I think they're cute and they have a place in nature, just not in my birdfeeder-- which is where they always managed to get). I tried everything: squirrel shields, providing them their own food elsewhere in the yard, even greasing the pole with baby oil (which was funny but never lasted-- they'd keep at it and soon were able to grip onto it again). So, I bought this feeder about a year and a half ago, and NOT ONCE has a squirrel been able to get into the feeder. The design makes it physically impossible for them. I love this feeder and am finally able to enjoy the birds again. I recommend using a seed with primarily large seeds, like sunflower. Avoid the mixes with those tiny little seeds, because they tends to clog up the drainage holes. One weird thing that I noticed about this feeder: bluejays don't seem to like it. They don't come very much anymore. I used to get tons of them :(

Bought several of these and hung 'em under the eaves on my freestanding garage. No birds have roosted yet, but that section of the backyard went from decrepit American South to adorably ramshackle French countryside tout suite!

Hookery 96" Feeder Pole with Mounting Plate Review

Hookery 96 Feeder Pole with Mounting Plate
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I RECEIVED THIS "96 INCH POLE" AND IT WAS ONLY 36" LONG. I SPENT AN HOUR TRYING TO GET THROUGH TO "UNBEATABLE SALES" TO FIND OUT IF I HAD RECEIVED THE WRONG PRODUCT OR IF THE INFO ON AMAZON WAS WRONG. AFTER SITTING ON HOLD FOR TEN MINUTES, I FINALLY GOT SOMEONE THAT REALLY COULDN'T TELL ME ANYTHING SO I DECIDED TO RETURN THE ITEM FOR A REFUND. THE RETURN PROCESS IS A REAL HASSLE, AND OF COURSE I NOW HAVE TO TAKE IT TO THE POSTAL CENTER. NOTHING BUT A WASTE OF TIME DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY.
Now, almost one month later, after returning the item for credit using their return number assigned to me, I still have not received a credit. I called today 11-12, and was told that Amazon had to apply the credit. However, the info had to come from Unbeatable Sales for Amazon to give me credit. I have called Amazon and the credit is being issued today. To add insult to injury, this company will not refund my shipping cost of $12.26, even though they messed up the order. I was told that if I rescinded this bad review, they WOULD refund shipping. Buyer Beware!!

35001 Cling - A - Wing - Part #: 35001 Review

35001 Cling - A - Wing - Part #: 35001
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is the third cling-a-wing bird feeder I've purchased over the years. I don't recall having difficulty assembling the others. The swivel cover for the seed receptacle is hard to move the first time. You need to FORCE it, which doesn't seem logical. And the metal bolt that holds the whole feeder together doesn't protrude from the bottom for the connecting nut to have a good "grab" on it. I ended up filing off some of the plastic around the bottom hole so that the bolt could stick out farther. Then I could get 4-5 good turns on the nut! Now it's fine.

Seattle Rain Guard, 10" Clear Review

Seattle Rain Guard, 10 Clear
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is a wonderful product. If you have a yankee feeder and you want to protect your bird seed from the rain this is the product to get. The birds like it, it keeps the seeds fairly protected (not counting rain conditions like rain coming from the side and not straight down) and it fits snugly on the feeder. It's very easy to move up and down to where you need it. Only designed for Yankee feeders.
Also tip: It's easier to put on when your feeder is empty. The design of my feeder you have to put it on from the bottom, not the top. All yankee feeders may be designed like that or it could just be mine but check which way is easiest to put on before filling up.
Also I brought the Droll Omni Seed tray that is meant for yankee feeders and it's great to. I have both the Omni Tray and the rain guard on my feeder and the birds love both and it saves seeds and I'm all about saving money! Less seeds wasted...less money spent.
From Droll Yankee:
10" dome keeps seed and birds dry
Fits all 2-1/2" diameter tube feeders, including Droll Yankees A-6 series, TH series and New Generation series.
UV Stabilized Polycarbonate is durable and resists the sun's rays
Includes a spring clamp to hold in place
Dimensions: 10 x 10 x 4 (assembled)
Mounting: Dome fits directly on feeder tube

Locking Chain, 18" Review

Locking Chain, 18
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This bird feeder chain was exactly what I was looking for. It wraps around any size limb and twirls easily to minimize bird seed spilling from the feeder. Some seed always falls out, but the fact that it rotates with the wind, or a push from an animal definately helps to minimize the situation. I would recomend buying this chain and hanging your bird feeder properly. Fully adjustable too!

Large Hopper Feeder Hgrn Review

Large Hopper Feeder Hgrn
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is a great bird feeder. It is fast and simple to fill. After about 5 years of use the cable that it hangs from broke. I replaced it with a much thicker cable and have had no further issues. I also made my cable a bit longer this gets the roof farther out of the way when filling making it easier to fill. I wish I would have gotten the larger size though as I've got enough birds to clean this thing out in a day now.

Coveside Woodpecker Suet Feeder Review

Coveside Woodpecker Suet Feeder
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Took about a week for the birds to use this feeder, but now the woodpeckers and other birds use it every day. The best part is that my relentless squirrells cannot get to it because the openings are smaller than regular suet feeders. The woodpeckers rest their tails on the wooden tail rest so it works exactly as described.

Deck Clamp For Birdfeeder Pole, Black Review

Deck Clamp For Birdfeeder Pole, Black
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have been using this on an extra deep deck railing - close to 6" - it really does seem like it should fit any size railing too. It tightens up by turning the eyescrew to the left, not to the right as you would think. It's out year round in NY, holding a pole, extra wide tray and cover. I highly recommend Droll Yankee products.

Perky-Pet 520 Pine Gazebo Feeder, 3-Pound Capacity
Average Reviews:

I am not happy with this bird feeder.
Two of the vertical roof pieces were splintered because the top wasn't cut right to fit. You fill through the top (lift off with the ball; the opening isn't large enough, so seed will spill everywhere. It will not hang straight, no matter what we tried.

Peanut Black Oil Screen Feeder Review

Peanut Black Oil Screen Feeder
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I purchased this feeder as an addition to another of the same style I've owned for the past 2 years. These feeders with their stainless steel mesh and non-ferrous metal painted tops and bottoms are very durable. Over the past 2 years in constant exposure to the elements, I've only noticed some fading of the paint, but of course no rust. The only thing I've added was a couple of perches protruding at right angles to each other through the mesh. I made them out of #8 stainless steel threaded stock and secured them with the appropriate sized stainless hex nuts. I really recommend these feeders; I've always got lots of customers feeding on the perches.

Birdscapes® 384 Festival Feeder, 1.8 capacity Review

Birdscapes® 384 Festival Feeder, 1.8 capacity
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've had two of these feeders in copper, and neither of them lasted for more than a year! The fault is in the construction of the metal feeding/perching plate. It is simply bolted into the plastic tube, which is too weak to withstand the weight of the plate. So after being knocked down a time or two, whether by wind or the occasional squirrel, the plastic cracks under pressure and the entire bottom of the feeder breaks off with no way to be repaired.

Droll Yankees, Inc BL15S Bird Lovers 15 Songbird Tube Feeder
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
What can I say? I put sunflower seed in this thing and birds come and eat it. My main concern for the feeder was the size of the seed I like to use (sunflower) and where it was made. In the USA!I did drill bigger drain holes in the bottom since I live in the Pacific Northwest and we see plenty of rain. Other than that, it's great! Been hanging out there for over a year now and still looks new. I've put about 80 pounds of sunflower seed through it and it is holding up very well. Very nice feeder for the price.
