All of my backyard friends love this product. If there is one complaint is that it goes too quickly. When I have one hanging, there is either a bird or squirrel on it.
A lot of fun to watch when they are on the bungee.

Heath® Squirrel Stopper Review

Heath® Squirrel Stopper

This is, hands-down, the best product ever for keeping squirrels off your bird feeders. I've had one for more than five years and not once has a squirrel made it to the feeders. A note of caution though: if you are using a shepherd's hook, this product will NOT work unless the hooks at the top of the feeder are removable as you need a straight line down to slide this over. The newest shepherd's hook that I bought does not have a removable hook and I had to purchase another type of baffle which is not nearly as effective.

Songbird Essentials Squirrel Spinner Review

They love this thing. I recommend having it face a window where you can watch them play. They will usually hang upside down and twirl it around, while eating.
We already wore out our first one and decided to replace it. The first one lasted nearly a decade.
It's such a simple design, but they seem to really love it. The nails are nice and long, so it holds the corn cobs on really well.

Twirl-a-Squirrel Baffle, Green Review

Twirl-a-Squirrel Baffle, Green
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I picked up one of these to try to keep my bird seed being eaten by the birds in my backyard instead of the greedy squirrels. (There is a squirrel feeder in the yard as well, but the squirrels still climb up and go for the more expensive bird seed.)
I give it 3 stars because it is a bit more finicky than I would have hoped for. According to the instructions that come with it:
1) Works on feeders up to 8 pounds - not 10 as described above in the description. My feeder is on the edge.
2) You can't hang it from a rope of anything else not rigid. My feeder hangs from a long chain and already has a rain guard over it. Due to weight if I put the Twirl-a-Squirrel above that chain and guard then I exceed the weight limit and the instructions say I can't hang it off the end of the chain so it is kind of limiting.
3) It triggers when it detects 1 pound of weight. Unfortunately this is sensistive enough to go off just from birds using the feeder. It is not uncommon for there to be 10+ birds on the feeder and sometimes another will land "hard" on the bottom of the feeder and start the twirling.
4) Instructions say to take it down when windy. I haven't had it long enough to know how sensitive it is going to be to wind yet but this does concern me as it is often windy in my backyard.
5) If your feeder has a screwed in hook on top of it then the twirl-a-squirrel can unscrew it from the feeder when it rotates. Not a problem for me but could be for others.
On the plus side it does a great job of chasing away the squirrels so far and the birds have been persistent with dealing with the false alarms that send them flying away.
I hope this has been helpful to others who are considering giving this a try. I give it a thumbs up overall and recommend it.

I had to free a squirrel who caught his foot at the hinged edge of the lid when another squirrel jumped on the lid and shut it. Solution: took the lid off!

Achla Designs Squirrel Jungle Gym Feeder Review

Achla Designs Squirrel Jungle Gym Feeder
Average Reviews:

I'd have to concur with I. Page about this item. The corkscrews do indeed look too big to comfortable put an ear of corn on. I've found that anything larger than 3/8" screws/eyelets will split the ears as they are screwed on. I have a Squirrel-Go-Round that I've lengthened the arms on, and that alone puts a new twist on the entertainment factor. I will probably design my own jungle gym, using this as a base to start from, but using more available materials. Make the crossbars able to move in 2 planes with a cable top to bottom, and use 5/16" screws for 5 ears.
I Page, I'd suggest that you use 1/4" or 5/16" lag bolts to put the corn on. I've got 5 5/16" eyelets on the Squirrel-Go-Round, lengthened the arms to 24" (22" from medalion to eyelet) and put 12" plastic party platters on as baffles. 14" platters would probably be perfect, give the squirrels just enough that they a bend around and get one kernel, but not be able to grab the ear and then hang from it with their hind feet. The 12" platter dissuades all but a few, even if they all will try to get at the corn. This gym design has promise, and with a few refinements it will be the charm...

We were having a squirrel knocking down our hummingbird feeders (yeah, saw it do it). The baffle combined with a longer hangar has confounded the varmints!. The item was very well packaged and arrived in a timely fashion.

Coveside Woodpecker Suet Feeder Review

Coveside Woodpecker Suet Feeder
Average Reviews:

Took about a week for the birds to use this feeder, but now the woodpeckers and other birds use it every day. The best part is that my relentless squirrells cannot get to it because the openings are smaller than regular suet feeders. The woodpeckers rest their tails on the wooden tail rest so it works exactly as described.

Globe - Super Cling A Wing Review

Globe - Super Cling A Wing
Average Reviews:

We've had this feeder for a couple of years. At first the squirrels were a problem, trying to gnaw through the top, but we solved that by making the pole squirrel-proof. Love that it holds a large amt. of sunflower seeds. Birds don't poop in it even when they walk around inside. With age the plastic has become dull and yellowed, so we're replacing it with a new one just like it. Good in wind and rain.

I bought this as a gift for my grandfather who is having sqirrel trouble. I thought it would help keep the sqirrels away from his birdfeeder. Unfortunately, the sqirrels get bored with it and go back to the bird seed. They were hysterical to watch, but don 't buy this if your trying to lure sqirrels AWAY from your birdfeeder.

GREAT product. It's well made and great entertainment and ,of course, the squirrels love it. It may be that the squirrels in Cary, NC are extra tall or that the Arrow Feeder is short (on the corn end) by about 3 inches because they don't really need to work at getting their treat.

No matter what we did to this feeder, the squirrels and chipmunks figured out how to stabilize the arms and would finish off all 5 ears of corn in an afternoon. It wasn't the fun we were expecting.

Stokes Select 38079 Squirrel Lunch Box Review

Stokes Select 38079 Squirrel Lunch Box
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've had this feeder for two years now, and I have to say I LOVE watching the squirrels and larger birds play around it.
One of the best features, I think, it the plastic screen that keeps the food in -- and therefore dry. It raises up just enough for some to come out for the squirrels and birds to pick at is from the perch, and of course they can get some more by reaching under (the squirrels) or sticking their heads under (the birds - mostly blue jays) the screen.
I didn't have this problem last year, but this year some of the squirrels figured out that they could remove the screen by lifting the lid and pulling/pushing the screen up and out. I haven't seen them do it yet, but they did it three times before I decided to try to put an end to it. To that end, every time I fill it I now tie the lid shut by wrapping plastic string around it several times and triple knotting it underneath. So far (for that last two weeks), it's seemed to work.
I've also recently tried putting peanuts in this. The squirrels and birds seem to love this, but they don't eat the peanuts at the feeder -- they carry them off. Possibly to store them for the winter. But as a result I think I may swish back to putting regular feed - or sunflower seeds - in it.

Woodland Squirrel Birdfeeder Review

Woodland Squirrel Birdfeeder
Average Reviews:

It's useable, but be aware that: likely a small part will break off during shipping ...(which is EASY to 'glue-back on' with household glue because it's made with a porus material)...despite the elaborate packing in foam; And that it comes with a warning that the item may contain sharp edges and 'points'. So I'd recommend that you run your hand over the surfaces first before using it to feed your feathered friends, so you can use an emory board to smooth out any sharp points and edges.

I've been through a dozen different squirrel whirlers. They typically last a week, and then one night some larger creatures will dismantle the device and render it useless. This Squirrel A Whirl is so simple and well put together that I am betting it will be here long after I am gone. I do not know who has the most fun, my wife and I or the squirrels? Well worth the money, and probably the last furry feeder I will ever buy....

A friend gave us this feeder and it has been a riot to watch the squirrels with it!
We have it bolted to the deck and it has provided a lot of entertainment watching the antics of the little guys getting into and out of it. My only regret is that I didn't find it many yrs ago!
