(More customer reviews)The one I bought didn't include the little flower so I can't say how it does for hummingbirds and it didn't include the suction cup either. I can suggest an alternative use for it though - a rooting vase.
The ring holding it to the butterfly portion can be opened and the glass can be replaced upside down. It can then be hung with string and a hook, it's very cute that way and I have some herb cuttings in it. The glass portion is also sturdy enough to be just set in the window sill like you would a bud vase.

Oasis Hummingbird Feeder Review

(More customer reviews)I was waiting to see if a hummingbird would drink from this before I reviewed it and yes they drink from it. I like the flower shaped openings (Natural for the bird). I haven't noticed any dripping, but I also haven't filled all the way up to the top. The hook which comes up from the middle twists to unscrew the round plastic piece off. There remains a hole on the top for filling. Supposedly you can remove the larger top circle by twisting it but it's almost impossible to grasp or turn which makes cleaning, as well as dumping old sugar water out, difficult. I've also tried pulling it straight up and that also doesn't work well. I'm not sure how long the middle piece will last either. Will the metal hook eventually break off? Time will tell. I'd recommend this as a gift for a hummingbird lover who has it all.

Soda Bottle Bird Feeding Starter Kit Review

(More customer reviews)I was disappointed on several levels. The stretchable nylon stocking wouldn't fit a standard 2 liter soda bottle. I was finally able to get it to fit on a small vinegar bottle. The V shaped piece of plastic for hanging is flimsy and has to be worked for a while to get it to hook on to the plastic mesh surrounding the vinegar bottle. The perch for birds is v shaped, and none of the birds in my yard would use it. I finally just threw the whole thing out and ordered another feeder that actually took a soda bottle and was held by a fabric holder with a metal ring.

Schrodt Designs HBLR-E Ruby Etched Hummingbird Feeder Review

(More customer reviews)I have several of these feeders in red, pink, and clear. The hummingbirds love everyone of them. They are easy to clean and are environmentally friendly. The glass is not died, the color is in the glass and I have used them for 3 years now and have not had any fatalities because of them. I can have as many as 20 Hummers at a time feeding at my feeders as I have two feeders up at a time. They are so attractive too. I get compliments from humans on them all the time.

Schrodt Designs Hummingbird Feeder Review

(More customer reviews)I own two of these feeders. They are absolutely wonderful and the hummingbirds love to feed from them. I have used other feeders, the more traditional kind. The problem is with the slighest wind they sway and the necture leaks out. With the Schrodt feeder the wind can blow but the nicture does not leak out.

Garden Jewels® 447-12 10-Ounce Glass Hummingbird Feeder Review

(More customer reviews)Maybe it's just me, but as soon as I went to pinch the s-hook hanger provided with the feeder together, the glass eye the feeder is supposed to hang by broke. It would have been better to provide some sort of ring already in through the hole so pinching the s-hook together wouldn't cause the feeder to break.
Well, now it's hanging by a makeshift cord "holder" I created. I gave the product 3 stars because it is easy to fill, easy to clean, and the hummingbirds in my yard had no problems switching from my UV weakened bottle-feeder to this feeder. I deducted one star because my birds seem to like a perch and this feeder doesn't have one, and one star for not providing a hanger already in the glass eye that the feeder hangs from. Hey guys, guess what! Glass is fragile, I'm an idiot, make it idiot-proof!

The flower-shaped feeders each have a small amount of red around their center. It is much more attractive than the red plastic feeders. However, it is definitely overpriced here at $25+. The local hardware stores and WalMart all sell this feeder for under $13 each.

Avant Garden 8110-3 Looking Glass Hummingbird Feeder Review

(More customer reviews)I am ordering my second feeder today. I've been using the same one for 3 years now year round, because we have hummers all year long in Phoenix. It is still in perfect condition. I like this one because the parts are mostly metal, and the sun is brutal here on anything plastic. The only problem I've had with it is aligning the bottom correctly so the nectar doesn't leak out. I've mastered it now, so it's not a problem. To avoid breaking the neck off of the jar, I soak the unit in warm water for a few minutes before unscrewing. I'm also very careful not to over tighten. I fill it only half way, as the birds don't like the food if it's over a few days old, especially in warm weather. Here is a trick for cleaning your feeder. Put about 3 Tbls. of white vinegar mixed with two cups of water in the feeder. Add about 1/2 cup of white uncooked rice. (I use a funnel) and shake. The friction from the rice will clean even the dark mold off of the inside. Rinse well before filling.
