I had to devise a better way to hang them because the plastic sent with the product would not last, but once I got over that hurdle, I found them wonderful. If the squirrels can get into them and if I forget to fill them, they eat the feeder. I found a way to make sure they can't get into them.

Perky-Pet 307-6 Thistle Finch Feeder with 8 Feeding Ports Review

(More customer reviews)Be aware that this finch feeder, #307-6, is the upside down feeder with the yellow cap. The picture shows the red-capped feeder. The only finches that can feed from the upside down feeder are the goldfinches. The purple finches and other birds cannot feed upside down. I love the red feeders and thought that is what I was purchasing. I rated this feeder low only because it was falsely advertised. I decided to keep this feeder instead of returning it and will buy the red feeder elsewhere.

(More customer reviews)I have several of these feeders in red, pink, and clear. The hummingbirds love everyone of them. They are easy to clean and are environmentally friendly. The glass is not died, the color is in the glass and I have used them for 3 years now and have not had any fatalities because of them. I can have as many as 20 Hummers at a time feeding at my feeders as I have two feeders up at a time. They are so attractive too. I get compliments from humans on them all the time.

Heath Outdoor Products 392 Mixed Seed Feeder Review

(More customer reviews)This feeder is made of plastic - the only metal on it is the hanger. The feeding holes inserts are made of a soft plastic, and the birds and squirrels pecked and chewed through it within two days.
The product description states "with plastic top and wooden perches", but this is not so - everything is plastic. The feeder that this one was to replace had metal inserts and a metal top on a plastic body, and lasted almost 10 years.
In summary: the purchase of this feeder was a total waste of money - 100% junk!
