(More customer reviews)Tthese little gems are O.K. and do work well to keep bees of most kinds out of the nectar; however, there is just no humane way to rid one's yard of bees. Even though bees are a pain and create a problem for some hummingbirds these guards manage to keep the bees at bay. Our hummers just look at the bees gathered around the guards and laugh at them while eating the nectar. Typical of most predators the bees attempt to chase the birds but success falls to the birds.
One minor problem with the guards is that some insects are small enough to enter the mesh but too stupid to figure a way out and thusly meet their demise. When cleaning the mesh of the guards be sure to clean the inside as well.

MCNAUGHTON LITTER FEEDER BIRD FEEDER Review

I had to devise a better way to hang them because the plastic sent with the product would not last, but once I got over that hurdle, I found them wonderful. If the squirrels can get into them and if I forget to fill them, they eat the feeder. I found a way to make sure they can't get into them.

Soda Bottle Bird Feeder Review

The picture shows a green dish that holds water for birds that you use a plastic bottle to hold more water. What I received was a tiny bird feeder that maybe a finch could land on. I paid more for the shipping than the product which was my mistake. So returning this silly looking useless product would be more waste of money. I'm very unhappy.

WILD BIRD FEEDER Review

(More customer reviews)We bought three of these to use for our 8 year old daughter's school experiment.
They are of good quality, and work exactly as one expects. Simply poke a couple holes near the bottom of the two liter bottle to attach the included hanger, fill the bottle with the help of a funnel, screw the feeder/perch unit to the mouth of the bottle, and hang.
We have several other bird feeders which are nicer, but were rather expensive. The reason I assigned 5 stars to this item is because it does exactly what it should, and does it well for the price. There are some aspects of the finished feeder which are less convenient than our other feeders (ease of filling, ruggedness), but it cost about 1/20th of our other feeders.
A word of caution, though. These will not work well if you have squirrels around. There is nothing to prevent them from getting to the feed, and it seems likely that they could very easily chew through the plastic bottle.

Hummingbird Feeder Tubes For Making Your Own Feeders (Pkg of 12) Review

(More customer reviews)I had broken the old feeding tube while washing and finally found this as a replacement. Initially concerned that the red cap opening was to big. I put it to the test and hummingbirds seemed to think it worked fine. Really didn't need twelve but will make other feeders come spring !!
