(More customer reviews)Bought this a gift for my girlfriend. You can use any type of birdseed but sunflower/cardinal mix works well. It is ceramic so you have to be careful when handling or cleaning but seems very durable. Looks good in the back yard and squirrels haven't figured out how to lift the lid (yet).

(More customer reviews)I love the design and quality, it would be better if it was larger. There is just one major problem. I am not attracting any birds. The seed is the same and I got plenty of birds at my old feeder. I think the problem may be access to the seed. The birds that do show up, look uncomfortable. The birds seem to prefer round feeders. Not sure why, just my personal observation

(More customer reviews)This is a very pretty feeder; however, it is quite dark. So far, the finches have not found it but I'm ever hopeful that they will. If it was make of lighter colors, I would give it a 5-star rating. This company makes feeders in lighter colors (which is what led me to purchase this one along with two others); but, these are all too dark to show up well when hanging from the trees.
