If you love Cardinals (birds, not the baseball team) then you must feed them black oil sunflower seeds. It's true any bird who can reach your feeder, and squirrels too, will gorge themselves on these.
We probably feed 75 per cent of these seeds to other birds just to keep the Cardinals returning to my feeder. But it is worth it, plus we've started to feed them year round and notice how healthy and fat they look this spring. Hope this will lead to a whole new generation of Cardinals at my feeder.
If we neglect to keep the feeder full, they let us know it by their loud, vocal complaints!

Vista Squirrel Proof Feeder Review

(More customer reviews)I was very disappointed with this feeder, especially since it bills itself as squirrel proof. After installing it, the squirrels would jump up and try to get a grip on it. This would cause the feeder to swing wildly, spraying seeds everywhere. Before long, the feeder was empty. Then, the squirrels figured out a way to grab onto it and reach in and get the seeds without much effort at all.

Habita Birdhouse Branches White Review

(More customer reviews)If you like the looks of this birdhouse in the picture, you will like it in your yard. It is exactly as pictured. I like the fact that it is ceramic. I won't have to replace it after a year or two like I do decorative wood houses that are destroyed by the elements. Recommended.

Habita Birdhouse Branches Terra Cotta Review

(More customer reviews)This is a great ceramic birdhouse. The picture is a great representation of its color. It is easy to slide the top up to clean and its ceramic intereior and exterior will hold up for years with reasonable care. Since it is ceramic it can break if dropped or mistreated but I love it so much I am going to get several more for my second home. Also the price for the terra cotta colored unit is 1/4 that of the same birdhouses in white, blue or green. What a great deal!

The Wildlife Connection - Squirrel Munch Box Review

(More customer reviews)I have one of these where I can see it easily. There are now three squirels who come every day.There is at least one there at a time most of every day. What a hoot to watch! The other day one was trying to get at the feed while another was sitting on top eating. Got the picture? I have had this for three years and it is still in great shape so I can say it is well made.
