(More customer reviews)My wife wanted a new bird feeder for her birthday, one that was not a "swinger" (she read cardinals like a stable place to feed) and could be mounted to keep squirrels away. After this one arrived, were we very pleased with the quality materials and construction. We expect this to last for a very long time. The seed hopper is quite large and does not release tons of seed that winds up on the ground.
I chose to mount away from trees, etc. on a 4x4 post that I put a vinyl sleeve over so that it would be too slippery for squirrels to climb (so far so good on that idea). The only downside for me was that the feeder was a little bit of a challenge to mount on the post, but maybe that's just my lack of carpentry skills.
We are very happy with this feeder, and so are the birds!
