(More customer reviews)It looks great and even has a perch for the birds but it is horrible. If you have it PERFECTLY upright its ok but if there is a little breeze or any movement the nectar comes POURING out of the bottom tray which in turn causes ants on your deck which then causes ants in your house! I ended up buying a not so attractive feeder for $6 and I have never had so many hummingbirds at my feeders before.
DON'T buy this feeder, get the cheaper ones that have little perches, well worth all the birds you'll get.

Well, this is sure a pretty feeder for the hummingbirds, but they don't seem to enjoy it as much as the copper one I purchased. It is a little clumbersome to wash as the metal part keeps getting wrapped around itself. But all in all I would buy another one of these if for nothing else the looks.

(More customer reviews)I like Hummingbird feeders and like to feed the little critters that use them. However, I am not crazy about cleaning the ones that are hard to take apart. I just like a simple little feeder that gets the food; the food gets eaten; the item gets cleaned; the item gets refilled; the item goes back up. Those are plenty of steps right there. I do not want to add: tried to wrangle pieces apart after feeder was empty; struggled and struggled; threw the dratted thing in the trash to the above steps. The ones I have are just fine. And this feeder complies with those steps. Sometimes I swish it all clean with water. Sometimes I get lazy and throw the whole apparatus in the dishwasher to be cleaned. Doesn't matter. It is quite heavy glass and gets through the dishwaher with red coloring intact. I use two additonal long hooks when I hang it from my tree as my tree is big and I am small. Works just fine. It does not blow off the extra hooks if you crimp its own hook just a wee bit. Once hung, the hummers are attracted to its red color and come running. It seems to be an extra large receptacle and does not have to be filled as often as my other feeders. I am quite happy with it and since I am a crabby thing, it takes a bit to make me happy. So I hope will buy this too and you had Better like it and enjoy it too.

(More customer reviews)We purchased this feeder because of the cheap price and cool appearance. Unfortunately, it is terribly designed as an actual hummingbird feeder, so I felt compelled to warn others.
The feeder fills and hummingbirds drink from the top. Due to this, in-order to have enough liquid for the hummingbirds to be able to feed you need to fill the glass jar until it overflows. Even after this point, evaporation and drinking will drain the feeder to the point hummingbirds can't reach the nectar after a day or two. The majority of the nectar never gets used and floats forever out of reach of birds.
Our feeder became a cesspool of dead insects with nectar to low for birds to reach after the first 2-3 days. I'd recommend getting a feeder that drains from the bottom instead of the top.
