(More customer reviews)This feeder did not last a week. The Orioles sat on the perches to feed. One perch broke off on the third day and the other two the next day. The inside got moldy on the hanger in a few days and it was impossible to open the bottle or base to thoroughly clean it out before refilling. I now have a totally worthless feeder and have used it for less than a week. This was a gift from my granddaughter so I don't have a receipt or I would return it. The company should read this and send me a refund. Don't buy this product, it is worthless junk!

Almost all nectar you pour in will immediately leak out through the feeding holes as well as the holes where the perches attach. This was not a single abnormality as I bought two from two separate sellers and both were completely worthless. Had similar, but not quite as bad, results with other Perky Pet products.

(More customer reviews)Since the orioles in my yard were busy emptying the hummingbird feeders I tried this feeder and it worked fine the first time. Once I started having to take the feeder apart to clean and refill it started to leak. If the orioles didn't like this feeder so much I would get rid of it. Taking apart the three pieces is easy. Putting the two base sections together is awful. If the tabs inside the bottom aren't lined up perfectly the bottom leaks. I have to put the bottom together multiple times until it is perfectly aligned and then I always test it with water in the bottom to see if it will leak or not. The bee guards seem to work fine on my model and both hummingbirds and orioles feed from it. If they could fix the leakage problem then this would be a great feeder.

(More customer reviews)The orioles in our neighborhood love this feeder! They come to it continuously during the day. The little jars are great for grape jelly or mealworms (they eat both, especially while feeding their young).
I would have given this 5 stars, but they made this with an umbrella that is in the way of the orioles being able to drop down easily. We took our's off immediately so that they have the best access they can get to easily drop down to the food. For those who have observed orioles, you'd understand their behavior in how they drop down from limbs above. With the umbrella on, they'd have to fly directly to it from underneath. It doesn't look as pretty without the umbrella, but it's still nice looking.
Immediately after putting this feeder out the orioles started going to it instead of the older feeder that we've had out for the past few years!
Note - the product description mentions it having "Decorative black metal birds of paradise on either side" - that's not true, that's a different feeder from this one (unless the picture is wrong - the picture is just like the one I've got).

(More customer reviews)I've tried several oriole feeders and this one is the best I've had. I have to super glue the ports on, because woodpeckers like to peck them off so they can get to the food. Also bees will get into the feeder, but they will get into every feeder, can't really keep them out of the feeders. We get Orioles here in Phoenix every year, and they seem to bring their babies back with them. Good Feeder over all.

I've had the Jelly Feeder up for about 3 weeks and for the last 2.5 nothing happened. Birds who were coming to my feeders and suet frequently showed no interest in this. I used whatever jelly i had in the house, which was blackberry and wondered if that made a difference since most articles i read recommend grape. I was disappointed until three days ago when i noticed that the jelly was gone. So i plan to buy some grape jelly and try it again.

Poly-Recycled Oriole Feeder SNOF Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased the Birds Choice Recycled Oriole Feeder in the spring when the Orioles first arrived. The Orioles didn't stay (they never do), but the purple finches love the grape jelly I keep in the little dishes.
I love the design and quality of this feeder and still have hopes that one of these years the orioles will stay longer than a few weeks in the spring. I also love the fact that it is made of recycled plastic - hooray!!

Birds Choice - Oriole-Fest Oriole Bird Feeder - 12 oz Review

(More customer reviews)The first summer I used this feeder I placed it in the woods, and thus missed seeing the orioles I am sure were feeding from it. The second year I placed it up by my deck and close to a natural woodsy area of our yard, right beside a hummingbird feeder. For some reason, the orioles tried to feed from the hummingbird feeder and the hummingbirds went for the oriole feeder. Once I placed grape jelly and an orange on the top of this feeder, those orioles got smarter in a hurry.
That summer I noticed an oriole kept landing in the big cottonwood tree in my backyard, and I often saw him at the very end of a branch. Turns out there was a nest hidden in a cluster of large leaves at the end of that branch. One Saturday morning I got to see dad encourage one of the babies to come out of the nest.
So would I recommend this feeder? You bet . . . it's not every day you get to see a baby oriole leave his nest. Be sure to keep the feeder stocked in grape jelly. They loved it! My oriole clung to the stem of this feeder and bent over to slurp up the jelly. I recommend buying the grape jelly in the squeeze bottle, and be sure to label it so the kids don't use it for their sandwiches.

(More customer reviews)This is the number 1 selling oriole feeder at our store. Orioles love grape jelly and also will often eat from hummingbird nectar feeders. They also love oranges. This feeder gives you all three options for feeding. You can attach an orange by stabbing it through the hook, there are solid pockets for grape jelly and you can put nectar in the feeder. I have two of these feeders in my yard and I fill the grape jelly pockets at least twice daily. I've tried some other oriole feeders that have just jelly cups and places to put oranges and the orioles in my area always go only to this feeder. I stopped putting nectar in the feeder because of the larger holes on the feeding ports. The feeder just got too full of insects, plus the orioles only wanted the jelly anyway. Other birds like finches will also come eat the jelly, but the orioles never are shy about chasing them off when they want to eat.

Perky-Pet Opus PLS Oriole Feeder Review

(More customer reviews)Orioles readily take nectar from my 8 oz. Perky-Pet Four Fountains hummingbird feeders, and can quickly empty them. Buying larger hummingbird feeders was not entirely satisfactory since all have feeding ports which exclude non-hummers. I got this Opus oriole feeder so the orioles would have their own large capacity feeder.
My feeder has springy buttons in the nectar ports which act as bee guards. (Note: The image on this page differs slightly from the feeder I received.) Initially the orioles and hummers explored the feeder but were unable to figure out the bee guards. After a few days I removed the bee guards, which involved undoing a few screws, and thereafter both orioles and hummers used the feeder.
The feeder disassembles into three parts: the clear plastic reservoir bottle and the two parts of the orange base. The bottom of the base houses the adjustable perches. If you submerge your feeder to clean it, this part will require some shaking and draining, but this is a minor matter. All parts of the base which touch the nectar are readily accessible for cleaning.
This is a good feeder for those crunch times when a lot of nectar is being consumed, but the orioles really prefer the Perky-Pets. Finally, _I_ really prefer a glass reservoir and just couldn't give five stars to a feeder without one.
