(More customer reviews)This baffle works well for those bothered by a multitude of predators seeking out bird seed, namely squirrels and raccoons. So far, we haven't had any problems with either since the installation. The only difficulty we had was that one of the attachment straps broke before even being affixed to the post. My husband improvised, and so far, it has held. The welding on the straps leaves something to be desired, or I'd rate this product higher.

(More customer reviews)New squirrels in the neighborhood, and they were hanging from the suet cage and making short work of the cakes. We had a two-piece plastic version in the past, but it would come apart and eventually blew away in a windstorm. This is great, since you can use it on the shepherd's hooks that are double pronged at the bottom and double hooked at the top (the one-piece baffles that don't "split open" would not be able to be used since you can't thread them onto the top or bottom of the hooks). Now, the squirrels are relegated to the ground to salvage whatever seed falls there.

(More customer reviews)I have my feeders mounted so squirrels are not a problem but I bought these to use as rain protection for the feeders and birds. I would not mount a tube type feeder without one again. They keep the expensive seed from getting wet and are also good protection from snow. They tilt/swivel in the wind which keeps them from rocking the feeders all over the place. If you are serious about your feeders and birds, try one, I think you will like it and so will your feathered friends. I spray painted the tops of mine silver to help reflect the sun and prolong their life (UV eventually gets to everything).

Woodlink NABAF18 Audubon Wrap Around Squirrel Baffle, 18-Inch Review

(More customer reviews)I have a pole with a hook to hold bird feeders and it is the type that sticks in the ground. Squirrels and chip monks constanly
get up and eat the seeds in the bird feeder. The baffle comes with a bracket, like a collar that is attched on the pole, and it is fixed in place by tightening the screw. The split in the baffle makes it convenient to put on. It then can be closed by hooking the ends together [they come with fold shape like a "U"]. Best to keep up the baffle as high off the ground as possible because the squirrels can jump up at leat 3 feet I think. I use this in combination with the supposedly squirrel proof feeders and works effectively, especially with the red squirrel. They are small and very smart. Also, make sure to keep the feeders away from other pole feeders and trees. Those squirrels are very determined and can jump fairly far. For the money, this is one of the most effective anti-squirrel guard. Highly recommended.
