(More customer reviews)This is a great bird feeder and my teenage son enjoys it. We live in bear country so a bird feeder on a second floor window keeps bears and squirrels away.
The thing that is not clear on the advertising - there is no 2 way mirror even though the picture shows it and it is made from cedar. Good quality product at a good price, easy to assemble and refill on a double hung window without a screen.

Cardinal Classic Window Feeder Review

(More customer reviews)I didn't purchase this through amazon, but from a local garden store. This is a good, solid window feeder for being under 30 dollars. I've had it for about a month and there's been lots of birds, mainly Finches and Cardinals, coming to the feeder all day. They found it very quickly. It is a good size, several birds can come to it at once, and holds quite a bit of seed. The amount of seed it holds tends to keep it filled quite awhile, around five days, and since it sits on the tray, it cannot be kicked out or wasted. Other feeders i've tried the seed is gone in about one day.
The only drawbacks are that the feeder is large enough to hold nuisance birds such as Doves, Pigeons, etc, and the plastic on the back of the feeder can intrude the view of the birds sometimes, compared to other feeders...
BUT, I would definitly recommened this item.

IF YOU DONT HAVE A LADDER TO GET OUSIDE THE WINDOW TO MOUNT AND THEN REFILL THIS FEEDER>> FUHGETTABOUTTITT... IT HAS 2 TINY WIRES ON THE SUCTION CUPS THAT HAVE TO GO INTO 2 TEENIE HOLES IN THE FEEDER AND THERE IS NO WAY YOU CAN MOUNT IT FROM THE INSIDE OF YOUR WINDOW, MY WINDOW IS AT LEAST 12 FEET ABOVE THE GROUND AND REQUIRES A LADDER. I WISH NOW I WOULD HAVE PURCHASED ANOTHER 1. I AM NO ROCKET SCIENTIST, BUT I BELIEVE I COULD HAVE ENGINEERED A BETTER WAY TO MOUNT THIS FEEDER""""""""

(More customer reviews)This little feeder has provided hours of entertainment for my cats for very little money. The plastic of the feeder is pretty flimsy and cheap, but once you suction it onto the glass it holds tightly and becomes quite sturdy. It hasn't slipped even the slightest bit since I put it up a couple months ago. Finches and sparrows love it - especially once they realize my cat can't actually reach them - and spend hours every day on it. It's too small for larger birds like Cardinals, though, so keep in mind you'll only be attracting the smallest species. Cleaning it is as easy as popping it off the glass and dumping out the shells. I've wiped it off with a damp paper towel if there was some waste stuck on it, but that's been a very minimal problem for me. Great for beginning backyard birders or small patios or balconies. Mine is on a sixth floor apartment window and I get a steady stream of visitors from morning to evening!

Perky-Pet 348 Window Wild Bird Feeder Review

(More customer reviews)Well, after reading lots of reviews about similar products, I decided to purchase this one- even though some had stated that it wasn't very good. First let me point out that there are no directions with this feeder- so really it's best to follow the advice of others that have posted reviews as far as the best way to hang the feeder. I put the feeder up, put in some food, and waited. A few hours later we heard a crash! I was horrified that my brand new feeder had crashed down and shattered into a billion pieces. I should probably add that I live in a dormitory on the third floor with both grass and cement below us. I was very relieved to find the feeder still completely in tack...and was able to find the suction cups nearby as well. I then went back and found some of the reviews that suggest how to prepare the window and suctions cups so the feeder will stay in place. I washed the window very well, and washed the suction cups in warm soapy water. I let both air dry completely. Then, as suggested by another purchaser, I ran my finger gently across my t-zone (forehead and bridge of nose) and then wiped the finger across the suction cups. This very small amount of natural oil is said to help the suctions cups stick. After firmly placing the cups on the window I attached the feeder- and haven't had any problems with it since! We've had some pretty tough thunderstorms too! It did take almost 2 wks for the birds to find the feeder- but now they love it and I lvoe to watch/hear them! We've had cardinals, sparrows, several different type of finch's and others that I don't recognize. I should note that this is a fairly small feeder and really accomodates only one bird at a time (some of the small sparrows will feed 2 at a time). I'm considering purchasing another to place nearby! I really love how close you can get to the birds without disturbing them- the opening on the back is great to have because then the only thing seperateing you from the birds is the glass of your own window! I highly recommend (just remember to prep the window and suction cups before "hanging")!
