(More customer reviews)I just hung this feeder out, replacing a yucky plastic house looking feeder. This one is very visually appealing and looks like it is well made, and well thought out. The roof and seed bin parts weather proof steel, having a powder coating that is rust and fade resistant (as states on the tag for it). The bottom tray where the birds perch and the seed collects is a plastic tray. It feels sturdy and claims to be impact resistant. There are little holes around the bottom of the feed tray, hopefully sufficient enough to drain off the water.
I wish I could say how durable it is, but only time will tell. For the price, it beats a lot of other feeders out there and it looks much better than them. Within 20 minutes of filling it and hanging it out, the birds were landing on it and eating from it.
Oops, forgot to mention that it comes attached to a sturdy plastic coated wire that you hang it from, not some thin flimsy wire.
