(More customer reviews)This holder does a good job of holding the seed block (or cake) and provides a foot hold for the birds while they eat it. It also has fold down wire perches on the wide sides (but mine won't stay level) so the birds can stand on them. However, the birds don't seem to need the perches to enjoy the seed. It has a chain hanger attached to the side door and threaded through the top so that it can not be opened by stronger birds or squirrels when filled, keeping the block only accessible through the wire, thus making the seed block last longer.
