(More customer reviews)I have been using this on an extra deep deck railing - close to 6" - it really does seem like it should fit any size railing too. It tightens up by turning the eyescrew to the left, not to the right as you would think. It's out year round in NY, holding a pole, extra wide tray and cover. I highly recommend Droll Yankee products.
