The plastic of the feeder is pretty flimsy and cheap, but once you suction it onto the glass it holds tightly and becomes quite sturdy. It hasn't slipped even the slightest bit since I put it up a couple months ago. Finches and sparrows love it - especially once they realize my cat can't actually reach them - and spend hours every day on it. It's too small for larger birds like Cardinals, though, so keep in mind you'll only be attracting the smallest species. Cleaning it is as easy as popping it off the glass and dumping out the shells. I've wiped it off with a damp paper towel if there was some waste stuck on it, but that's been a very minimal problem for me. Great for beginning backyard birders or small patios or balconies. Mine is on a sixth floor apartment window and I get a steady stream of visitors from morning to evening!
