(More customer reviews)I bought this feeder specifically hoping to attract a pair of cardinals that I had seen eyeing my old feeder (another mesh style feeder that didn't have a platform area for cardinals). I wasn't sure if the platform would be big enough for them, but they almost immediately took advantage of it. The other birds (chickadees, nuthatches, and downy woodpeckers) seemed a little confused by the new feeder at first, but they figured it out.
